Episode transcript

Edited from the Riverside recording for readability. Wording may vary slightly from the published audio.

Good morning and welcome to the Daily Bread. I’m Jason Deaver, and today’s word comes from Hebrews eleven. “And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

What is this verse saying to you today? It’s saying that you have to have faith in God in order to please Him and make Him happy.

You know, Jesus said, even if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain. And what He’s trying to say there is that even if you have the smallest amount of faith, use it. Use it to pray. Use it to love. Use it to worship. Use it to grow closer to God, because that seed, it will grow.

And you will become closer to God. And once you become closer to God, that changes everything. So today I hope that you reflect on this message, and I hope that it brings you peace. And I hope you pick up your Bible and read today and just draw closer to God. Because with the faith of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain.
